Introduction
CONFIRMED began as a hype-driven drop platform focused on limited releases.
As the brand strategy evolved, so did our ambition. We shifted towards becoming a premium digital boutique: expanding our assortment, introducing new product mechanics, and moving beyond single-product drops.
However, our existing shop infrastructure had been built for scarcity and speed, not for curated collections and long-term assortment growth.
It became clear that the shop required a structural transformation, not a visual refresh.

The Problem
The previous shop experience revealed several structural limitations:
Products within collections were hidden behind collection cards
The Shop and Home Feed felt visually similar, causing confusion
The “Now” and “Soon” structure led to empty states and unclear hierarchy
Limited filtering and sorting capabilities
No support for multi-item checkout
No scalable logic for highlighting mechanics or upcoming products
As our assortment expanded, the experience no longer supported effective navigation, discoverability, or a premium perception.

THE CHALLENGE
The complexity of this initiative stemmed from multiple factors:
Adapting to a newly defined brand strategy
Designing for a target audience we were still in the process of understanding
Introducing multi-item checkout and new backend logic
Enabling market-level customization
Aligning a wide range of stakeholders across regions
At the same time, the experience needed to feel elevated, premium, and editorial — without compromising usability or scalability.

Design Explorations
We explored multiple directions to balance inspiration and product clarity.
1. Dual Shopping Models
As our audience values both inspiration and efficiency, we explored how the shop could support different entry points into the experience. The goal was to understand how editorial, styling-driven discovery and structured product browsing could coexist within one coherent system — without fragmenting the journey.

Design Explorations
2. Product Density & Perspective
To reflect the progressive nature of a premium shopping experience, we investigated how product presentation could shift between overview and detail. Inspired by the physical boutique journey, we explored different levels of product density and perspective — allowing users to move naturally from scanning the assortment to inspecting craftsmanship and information.

3. Structural Reframing
With a growing assortment and new mechanics, the existing shop logic no longer provided clarity or scalability. We explored alternative structural models that could create a cohesive overview, improve findability, and flexibly highlight newness, mechanics, and upcoming drops — establishing a foundation for long-term growth.

Outcome
The Shop Transformation established a scalable foundation for CONFIRMED’s evolution into a premium digital boutique.
From a user experience perspective, the new system:
Introduced a clearer and more intuitive shop structure
Improved product discoverability through filtering, anchor navigation, and dynamic clustering
Enabled progressive information hierarchy, allowing users to move from overview to detailed inspection seamlessly
Clearly communicated product mechanics and upcoming drops on PLP
Reduced confusion between Home and Shop by defining distinct roles
User testing played a key role in shaping the final experience model. While early explorations investigated stronger inspirational elements directly within the shop, validation showed that users preferred the shop to remain structured and efficient. As a result, inspirational storytelling was intentionally elevated to the PDP level — where users are in a deeper evaluation mindset and more receptive to styling context, editorial content, and product craftsmanship narratives.
From a product and system perspective, the transformation:
Replaced rigid “Now & Soon” logic with flexible clustering
Created a scalable architecture that supports growing assortments
Allowed markets to customize hierarchy while maintaining a unified global framework
Established extensible design patterns for future evolution
